I had a nice, nutty Brazilian pour over. Lots of peanut flavor, some cocoa but that wasn't the most intense for me. Pretty enjoyable cup of joe. I decided to pick up some beans and immediately reached for the Ethiopian. I do like my Ethiopian coffees. I started to pass on the Kenyan, but the taste notes intrigued me and it's not like we ever have any problems going through over a 1lb of coffee in a week. We do drink a LOT of coffee. Both smell wonderful. There is a real sweet smell to the Ethiopian and a deeper, more intense - almost nutty smell to the Kenyan. Beans of course. I have not brewed either yet.
Coffee was roasting. I love the smell of roasting coffee. The kid says it smells like burning popcorn, but for me it's just a tasty smell. It was cool seeing the roaster. I always like looking at the machines and talking to Ian was fun. We also got a glimpse of the new cafe area they will be opening. All in all a fun break in between gigs.
And I got a sticker for my notebook! I love my stickers. :-)
Next time I'm going to get a shirt.
