Out & about on Saturday, so we obviously needed more coffee. :-) Second Best Coffee was a good place to start! Stopped by PT's in the Crossroads for some coffee after meeting our milk guy. (we buy milk from a local farmer) It was First Friday which is always cool.
Lee's summit has started an art event on the 4th Friday of each month. It's held in the quaint downtown area. March was cold and gray, but still fun!
Everyone who comes to KCMO must stop by the Nelson Atkins museum and at the very least check out the giant shuttlecocks. Currently there is a glass maze on the lawn, down close to Cleaver. I'm not sure why more people don't read the sign and go slowly. I saw several who bumped into walls. The guys put safety first and checked out the rules before playing! After the maze we headed in for some art. It was almost a disaster. Once we arrived, red was no where to be found! I was in a panic. Luckily Dan was able to track him down. Seems Red wanted a bit more time at the maze so he had stayed behind. I'm glad he didn't get lost this early into his visit!
